David Darcy
After a highly successful VFL football and media career in Victoria and South Australia, David Darcy followed a long held dream, by undertaking the challenging role of owner operator at the Fountain Inn Hotel in Adelaide. It was a perfect ‘second half’ for David and was to be the first of many successful hospitality ventures.

Ensuring friendly patronage and unparallel hospitality, David and family quickly became known for running warm, high quality establishments and in the following years, a string of hotels were successfully resurrected across SA and Victoria.

Knowing the importance of a great menu and with a long term vision in sight, in 1998 David pursued a talented young chef Pat Ortuso to join his family and run his kitchen. Inevitably, the Darcy children have become as passionate about hospitality as their parents, marking the beginning of a family legacy - and the formation of a multi-venue model and The Darcy Group.

As CFO of the Darcy Group, David Darcy is now a family board member, overseeing the General and Financial Management of the Precinct Hotel and the two new venues, Melbourne Public and Motel.
